Your clients can earn points every time they run or volunteer.

For a little extra reward on getting active outdoors, we give your clients Vitality points every time they run or volunteer with their local parkrun. Parkrun organises free, weekly, 5km timed runs. The events take place in parkland surroundings and include runners of all ages and abilities.

When they join us, they’ll earn points once they’ve registered their Vitality membership number on their parkrun profile.

Here are a few of the questions we’ve answered for our members

Can my client track their parkrun with a fitness device or mobile app, and earn Vitality points for both?

No, they can earn a maximum of 8 Vitality points per day and 40 points per week for getting active. This can be made up from visits to a partner gym , parkrun, or activities measured with a compatible fitness device or mobile app.

How does my client find their nearest parkun?

For the nearest event check the parkrun website.

How does my client register?

Go to parkrun.org.uk/register and follow the instructions to set up a new profile. They'll need their Vitality membership number. Then click on the link in their confirmation email and enter their Vitality membership number to link their parkrun profile to Vitality. Don’t forget to print the personal barcode as they’ll need to scan this each time they run to get Vitality points.

If your client is an existing parkrunner they'll need to edit their parkrun profile, using the link provided in their weekly email, rather than setting up a new one.

How does my client volunteer?

They can get in touch with their local events team directly - the easiest way is to have a chat with them at the run. Alternatively every event has a volunteering page which has complete information about volunteering and how to get in touch.

How many Vitality points can my client earn for parkrun?

They’ll earn 8 points each time they run and 5 points each time they volunteer. They're able to earn 40 points a week for getting active so if they've already reached your weekly points limit and they complete a parkrun, they won't receive any points for that run.

Where can my client find their results?

parkrun email all runners their results whenever they run. If your clients email does not come through they should check their spam/junk folder. Every runner also has a permanent results page on the parkrun website which provides a complete history of all their runs.
