Incentives for Employers

Employer Cashback

Research has proven that employee engagement and wellbeing can be directly influenced by their employer*.

Vitality rewards employers with a cashback incentive, designed to incentivise your clients to drive engagement with the Vitality Programme. 

We do this by looking at the Vitality status of each of your client’s employees at the end of the plan year and assuming your client renews their plan for the following plan year, we award cashback depending on the average Vitality status achieved by their employees as follows: 
 
Vitality status % Cashback
Bronze 0%
Silver 2.5%
Gold 5%
Platinum 10%

Case study

Workplace with 20 employees on a plan.

At the end of the plan year:
  • Five had achieved Bronze status
  • 10 had achieved Silver status
  • Three had achieved Gold status
  • Two have achieved Platinum status

The business would receive cashback equivalent to 3% of their annual premium (less Insurance Premium Tax): (5 x 0%) + (10 x 2.5%) + (3 x 5%) + (2 x 10%) / 20 = 3%

Renewal Premium Guarantee

By getting their employees engaged with the Vitality Programme, we believe employers are showing their commitment to improving the health of their workforce.

This allows us to provide a guarantee that your client’s premium increases will be capped at 25% in year 1 and 30% in year 2, depending on the Vitality status of your client’s employees. This is subject to scheme size and underwriting status of the group at the renewal calculation date. Speak to your VitalityHealth representative to find out more.
